1. Can you please introduce yourself, where are you from, how long you shoot on film?
I’m Eleonora Rosati I was born in Italy and currently I live here. I've always been fascinated by analogue photography, I always loved looking at the photos my father took over the years, when i was little.
In 2014 I found his old camera with an unfinished film and decided to start this journey with the analogue photography.
2. Why do you like to shoot on film?
Because it help me to know better what ’s around me , slow down from the frenetic life of modern days and think the world differently, besides, I really love the fact that I don't have full control of how the photo can come out so te last word goes to the camera.
3. What’s your favorite gear to use (camera, lens, film) ?
My currently gear it’s still my father’s camera, a Yashica fx 3 super 2000 , but I love to try different cameras, especially point and shoot or cheap cameras, and see what I can get from them. The last roll I shooted was with the Olympus infinity stylus.
4. Among your works, which one is your favorite? Why?
From my last works probably the ones with the hot air balloon, I really like how it came ,when I took that photo I was in this field with a few people, watching this scene in silence with the rising sun, a beautiful experience.
5. Exactly what it is you want to say with your photographs?
In my photography I don’t want to communicate a particular message, I just try to catch a feeling that gives me a place through the colours and the composition and leave the other people felt the photo as they want.
