I'm 20 years old and I live in Milan, Italy. I decided to buy a film camera last year in a really small shop near my home and as soon as I developed my first roll I realised an incredible way of expression that has changed my approach to photography. I believe that on film every single shot acquires more value especially because of the attention put on each photo. Having a limited number of shots put me in a condition to try to immortalize in the best way possible what surrounds me. For me photography experienced on film represents a profound way of connecting to the world, compared to the incredible variety of powerful cameras able to capture down to the smallest detail, for all the process is like a ritual and the purpose is to focus on the present moment.
I am born in a digital and rushing world but I want to discover it slowly with a film camera as an extension of my perception, for its authenticity and lovable imperfections.
